Guidelines for Participants

The Visual Disruption Image 2025 is a competition for creators, artists, designers, activists and creative thinkers. Submitted visuals should be visually striking, carry a clear message and spark thought, discussion or change. What urgently needs to be visualized and disrupted? The lack of imagination itself? Or perhaps the dominant visual narratives surrounding climate, technology, art, power, identity, public space… What do you see nowhere, but should be seen right now?

Submission deadline on November 1, 2025

Jury deliberation between November 5 to 15, 2025

Winner announcement on November 20, 2025, during Visual Disruption Day

What can
you submit?

1 image per participant/collective

Accepted forms: photography, digital collage, AI-generated art, illustration, mixed media, poster design….

Minimum resolution: 300 dpi (for A2 print size)

File types: JPG, PNG, max. 10 MB

Optional, a short accompanying text (max. 120 words) for explanation or context

Competition Rules
Visual Disruption Image 2025

1.1 Open to anyone aged 16 and above, worldwide

1.2 Both individuals and collectives may enter (1 submission per entity)

1.3 Participation is free

2.1 Submissions must be made via christoph@visuallyspeaking.agency

2.2 Participants must declare that their work is original and does not infringe on third-party copyrights

2.3 AI-generated works are allowed, provided the tools used are transparently disclosed

3.1 An independent jury will review the submissions

3.2 The jury will select 1 winner

3.3 The jury’s decision is final and not open to appeal. The Audience Award is a public vote during the event.

4.1 Participants retain the copyright to their work

4.2 By participating, entrants grant the organization a non-exclusive right to use the work for:
– Publication (digital & print)
– Promotion of the competition and its message

4.3 All uses will include credit to the creator

5.1 Personal data will be used only for communication related to this competition

5.2 Data will not be shared with third parties without consent

6.1 The organization reserves the right to cancel or modify the competition if necessary

6.2 Submissions containing hateful, discriminatory or harmful content will be automatically disqualified
